Main Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Under the regular supervision of the Case Management Advisor , the Child Protection Case Worker will be responsible of:
- Alerting CP Officer immediately of urgent threats to children’s health and safety at the individual or community level;
- Preparing prior to the Case Management meetings challenges and updating on specific cases;
- Preparing minutes of meetings to be shared with Case Management Advisor and Child Protection Coordinator;
- Participating in individual and group supervision regularly;
- Ensuring that the Case Management system is functional and follow the national SOP
Implementation:
- Conducting home visits when and as necessary;
- Participating and support the identification of children at risk and/or child survivors;
- Receiving referrals for case management
- Providing individual case management for children in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures;
- Conducting assessments and prioritizing cases according to risk;
- Developing case plans responding to needs, harm, and building on family and child’s strengths;
- Following up, monitoring and reviewing cases according to time scale target;
Documentation:
- Ensuring the correct documentation and compilation of case management forms in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures (especially Data Protection Protocol and Information Sharing Agreements);
Coordination:
- Coordinating with other agencies focal points on individual referrals;
- Ensuring problems/challenges are referred to the Case Management Advisor for resolution;
- Organizing inter-agency case conferences as necessary in coordination with Case Management Advisor
- Maintaining and updating spreadsheets mapping services and focal points according to location;
- Collaborating closely with the Psychosocial team and the other sectors team;
- Attending regularly case management meetings at field level;
Reporting:
- Writing weekly report that includes data compiling of case load, analysis of trends, challenges and recommendations;
- Providing weekly input to the Child Protection Area Officer outlining the progress of work;
- Participating in trainings and workshops;
Other
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop Mouvement Social programs;
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical diploma or degree in social work;
- Minimum of Three years of case management work experience (mandatory);
- Experience in working with children (mandatory);
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic (mandatory), English speaking is an asset;
- Proficient in Word and excel (mandatory);
- Working experience in NGO (Preferable);
- Experience in working in emergencies (preferable);
- Knowledge of Child Protection database / CPIMS (Preferable);
