Driver (North Lebanon)

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your main responsibilities will be:

1. Transport humedica staff to designated working areas.
2. Drive carefully at all times and ensure the safety of the passengers, other road users, and the assigned vehicle. Inform the manager of any incidents involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods. Ensure that all vehicle documents and the driver's driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
3. Knowledge and respect of security guidelines and rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints, and roadblocks. Ensure all passengers know and respect the security rules. Take responsibility for any traffic violation (e.g. speed limit or any other traffic law).
4. Ensure that the vehicle is clean and representative at all times.
5. Perform safety and maintenance checks to ensure that the vehicle is fully functional and secure at all times, including minor maintenance duties such as changing the oil, tires, etc.
6. Ensuring correct loading and unloading of the vehicle.
7. Translating for the coordinator, if necessary
8. Assist/participate in logistics requirements when requested
9. Assist in other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor when not undertaking transport facilitation.

Qualifications:

• Working experience 1 to 2 years
• Education degree: High School
• Lebanese driving license
• Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
• Basic mechanical skills
• Reliability, flexibility
• Arabic mandatory, good English skills necessary to communicate with supervisors
• Should be quick in understanding, keen on taking instructions, and able to work with minimum supervision 
• Training in security protocols is highly desirable
• NGO working experience desirable
• Ability to cope with a difficult security context
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment
