Operational Roles and Responsibilities
- Request and order the list of tools required for women's detection, and the list of medicines for gynecological diseases and family planning.
- Register services provided and treatment plan for each patient on their designated medical files.
- Develop, assess and evaluate individual programs of care.
- Assist the gynecologist in the Health Centers when needed.
- Participate in the national campaign of the prevention against breast and uterus cancer.
- Monitor and examine women during pregnancy.
- Provide full antenatal care, including screening tests in the hospital, community and the home.
- Identify high risk pregnancies and make referrals to doctors and other medical specialists or agencies for needed cases.
- Arrange and provide parenting and health education.
- Provide counselling and advice before and after screening and tests.
- Give support and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breastfeeding, bathing and making up feeds.
- Liaise with other health and social care professionals in the HC to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct educational lectures on the reproductive health program in community, schools and health centers.
