Training for SC Partner staff on Participatory Action Research

The project will operate in five locations: Ein Helwe, Burj Barajneh and Shatila Palestinian camps, Burj Hammoud/Nabaa and Saida cities; targeting 14 to 19 years old Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian boys and girls.

The planning for the PAR started in June 2019, with an induction workshop with CSO partners in Lebanon. A training of facilitators on PAR process, tools and PAR analysis will follow in August to build the capacity of SC and CSO partners’ staff on the implementation of PAR. The implementation is planned to start in September 2019. The timeline of activities is approximate, as it will depend on the decisions made by the adolescents.

SCL is seeking a PAR specialist and trainer to deliver the PAR training on tools and analysis to SC and partner staff, based on SC’s and Issam Fares Institute PAR Training Manual. The training aims to equip SC staff and partners with the necessary skills and tools to implement PAR with adolescent girls and boys in their respective communities based on the priority topics chosen by adolescents.
