Position Summary
The Project Manager will manage a 24 months project that aims for more inclusive governance in Wadi Khaled by ensuring that local decision making processes are more inclusive and participatory and that development is more sustainable, equitable, and accountable. The project engages with local and national governance actors, youth, women and other marginalized groups within the community at large, to promote the principles of good governance and to guarantee a more participatory and representative governance in the target communities.
The Project Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and implement the project’s activities, ensuring that the program is on time, within budget, and delivers high-quality results. He/She will be based between Akkar (3 days per week) and Beirut (2 days per week) and the position will require frequent visit to Wadi Khaled.
The Project Manager will supervise the two Project Assistants and work under the supervision and guidance of the Program Director. He/She will work closely with the Community Engagement (Outreach) Manager and in collaboration with the Search Beirut office, the MENA team, as well as trainers and technical experts working on the project to ensure the deliverables are of high quality, and delivered in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for the implementation of project activities in a timely manner ensuring good quality action and credible outcomes;
· Lead the project field team; ensure coordination and motivation of the team; address health and well-being of the team; and ensure quality assurance;
· Ensure the project is monitored effectively, that data is collected, risks are highlighted and that lessons are learned from the experience of delivering the project by the project team and other significant stakeholders.
· Responsible for the management and reporting on project activities, ensuring timely grant reporting and compliance with contract and donor guidelines;
· Ensure the project is managed and delivered in accordance to Search’s financial policies and procedures.
· Develop and maintain project records such as databases, reports and records of decisions;
· Implement the financial and administrative systems necessary for the execution of the project;

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’ degree in Development, Political Science, International Affairs, Social Sciences or other relevant subject (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum of five years of related experience in project management.
- Experience working on inclusive governance projects is a major asset.
- Experience working in Wadi Khaled is an advantage.
- Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations;
- Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office,
- Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail;
