Job Search and Employability Trainer in Barja

AMIDEAST/Lebanon is recruiting an Employability Trainer for the Barja Skills for Success® Program in Barja Cultural Club. The program provides training opportunities for underprivileged unemployed young men and women in Barja to help them find a job.

During the program, the participants will work on building their job search strategy and employability skills through 30 hours of dedicated training on the topic. 

The tentative training course schedule is spread over the months of September and October and the 30 hours will be distributed into afternoon sessions. 

The Employability Trainer’s main responsibilities include:

• Deliver 30 hours of job search and employability skills training for the Skills for Success® cohort in Barja to help participants enhance the skills they need to find jobs. Training topics include:
  • Setting a job search strategy

• • Preparing a resume
  • Writing a cover letter
  • Connecting with employers
  • Completing a job application
  • Enhancing interviewing skills
  • Following up with employers
  • Handling a job offer
• Monitor student progress, motivation, and report to the program team using AMIDEAST rubrics.
• Provide any other administrative support when and if the need arises.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources or related field, Master’s degree preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in delivering similar training workshops
• Willingness to travel to Barja to deliver the Employability Training
• Excellent communication skills
• Lebanese citizenship
