Communication Agency - Consultancy

BACKGROUND:

The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local
non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization based in Beirut.
CLDH was created in 2006 by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for
Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily), which has been active since 1996 in the
struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity
of those perpetrating gross human rights violations.

CLDH monitors the human rights situation in Lebanon, fights
enforced disappearance, impunity, arbitrary detention and racism and
rehabilitates the victims of torture. CLDH regularly organizes press
conferences, workshops and advocacy meetings on human rights issues in Lebanon
and collects, records and documents human rights abuses in reports and press
releases.

CLDH team on the ground supports initiatives aimed at
determining the fate of all missing persons in Lebanon.

CLDH regularly follows up on numerous cases of arbitrary
detention and torture in Lebanon in coordination with Lebanese and
international organizations, and with the United Nations Working Group on
Arbitrary Detention WGAD and the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture.

Job Profile:

The Communication Agency will help the Communication and Advocacy Department and under the supervision of the Communication and Advocacy Officer and Executive Director, to develop a communication and media strategy of the organization. The job will be on a consultancy basis for a period of 2 months.

Deliverables:

The Communication Agency should deliver a communication strategy for the organization which includes:

  • Identifying the issues and priorities of the organization.
  • Defining communication goals and objectives for the strategy accordingly.
  • Defining main messages and positioning their link with the strategy.
  • Researching and analyzing the current situation in favor of our overall strategy.
  • Determining tools, tactics, and campaigns that are realistic and compatible with CLDH’s mission and vision.
  • Setting budgets for the required expenditures related to the communication strategy.

 

The hired agency should also be able to provide:

  • Weekly social media schedules, press releases, and monthly reports.
  • Tools for data collection from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Advice on the most efficient way of approach on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Reformulate and integrate the organization’s 2 websites and blog.

 

In addition, the hired agency will work on:

  • Map audiences to ensure CLDH effectively reaches all of them within the communication strategy.
  • Segmenting our communication channels to reach out to all the stakeholders.
  • Broadening the organization’s contact list and means to include a wider audience.
  • Supplying an attentive template for invitations. 
  • Advising on the usage of illustrations and visuals of the organization’s postings.
  • Training 5 members of the staff on interview responses to media inquiries.
  • Giving the organization’s team training session on effective internal communication.
  • Create a detailed action plan to determine the roles and targets for team members in according to their set KPIs.
