Assistant Field Relief Services Officer

 

  • Assists Field Relief Services Officer (FRSO) in the implementation of instructions,

      Manuals and procedures governing relief services activities including reviewing 

      social transfer, distribution lists for emergency programme, selective cash

      assistance and Shelter Rehabilitation, and drafting letters for FRSO;

 

  • Assist FRSO in ensuring the accurate collection of data on refugee families for 

      determination of eligibility for assistance programmes and drafts monthly reports  

      on relief activities including emergency activities as required;

 

  • Coordinates with Area Relief and Social Services Officer (ARSSO) the management of

        case files at Area level, ensuring adherence to Relief Services Instructions, including 

        appropriate documentation and filing of all related documents;

 

  • Visits randomly selected active and closed families of SSNP to monitor the

      implementation of the Relief Services Instructions (RSI);

 

  • Monitors and makes regular inspections of social transfer/distribution sites to 

      ensure that food ration/cash subsidy distribution is running efficiently and in 

      accordance with RSI and policies;

 

 

  • Reviews and analyses the SSNP/ emergency assistance to targeted refugee families

        on quarterly basis to ensure alignment with approved SSNP/Emergency ceiling and 

        participates in surveys to evaluate the impact of Relief assistance on target population;

 

  • Ensures that new staff are given proper induction and initial training, particularly    

Relief workers; monitors and advises FRSO on the continuous educational needs of    

Relief Services Division staff;

 

  • Coordinates with RSSP staff and other programmes and exchange information to

         ensure proper implementation of the Relief Services activities; and assists FROS in

         promoting community support for Relief Services activities;

 

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).
