Supervises sanitary services for UNRWA installations and recognized refugee camps as per UNRWA’s established environmental sanitation programme;
Implements technical directives from the Field Sanitation Officer regarding sanitary facilities, e.g. refuse collection and disposal, insect control, etc. and reports on progress with appropriate comments and recommendations;
Established and develops relations with local and municipal authorities on environmental sanitation matters as may be required or directed by the Field Sanitation officer;
Supervises staff of the sanitation activity and provides them with guidance to ensure proper job performance;
Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

This vacancy notice is open to internal and external candidates (Internal candidates who decide to take up the project jobs, will have to be separated from their PB posts with no lien to the original posts). As an Area post, preference will be given to local candidates already based in the duty station of the post.
