Paid Topographer Internship

The Topographer at the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is responsible for the effective and efficient processing of the Fire-sheds and Agro-Forestry maps.

In close coordination with LRI’s Firewise & Agro-Forestry Component Managers, the Topographer is expected to accomplish the following duties:

1. Agro-Forestry:

• Conduct field visits to the four Agro-Forestry  sites to  take the necessary measures to develop  the design plans; and 
• Review the developed Autocad maps and assist in rendering the concept design for the four sites.

2. Fire-Shed:

• Compile existing Autocad files of the cadastral division of the two Water-Shed/Fire-Shed;
• Clean outdated files related to the cadastral maps of the villages;
• Digitize paper format maps into Autocad files and add the related annotations; and
• Organize all digitized data and cleaned autocad files into a single file for each Water-Shed/Fire-Shed.
