Background:

IMC’s MEAL Team is conducting an end-line evaluation of the Reducing Economic Barriers to Primary Healthcare project funded under the MADAD Fund.

Task Description: Consultant will serve as the enumerator for project’s activity in Lebanon.

Specifically, Consultant will complete the following tasks:

Enumerators will support the IMC MEAL department in the data collection phase of the end-line evaluation of the Reducing Economic Barriers to Primary Healthcare project funded under the MADAD Fund. The aim of the end-line evaluation is to gain understanding on the impact the project has had on targeted communities, and whether the services provided achieved the desired results.

The field enumerators will be responsible for collecting data on the field, and will be directly in contact with beneficiaries. The quality of the data collection will highly depend on field enumerators, which is why enumerators are expected to have high attention to details.

Main duties of enumerators:

Attend a training explaining the survey to be conducted, the context of the survey and the data collection time frame and process.

Conduct household surveys with respondents, and record their answers accurately

Ensure that the number of beneficiaries surveyed is correctly captured and reported to the team leader

Report certain situations that may arise directly to the team leader

Respect the confidentiality of the information shared by respondents

Preferred skills and competencies:

Previous experience in data collection specifically surveys using ODK, Kobo Collect, Survey CTO

High attention to details

High level of punctuality, and s/he should be very organized

Willingness to work on the field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Respect for individuals from all nationalities

Familiarity with the humanitarian field, and a high level of cultural sensitivity

Respect for the importance of confidentiality

General specifications for all positions:

Experience in working closely with community members throughout a program cycle

Experience in or understanding of program accountability principles

Knowledge of, respect and empathy for the communities we are working with

Commitment to championing community and partner points of view

Strong understanding of the project cycle and of M&E systems

Good interpersonal and influencing skills

Non-discriminatory and readiness to involve men, women, girls and boys from diverse backgrounds, particularly the most marginalized segments of the community

Very good listening and facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants, local officials, partners and all levels of staff

Ability to mobilize people – to develop and maintain relationships with staff and communities to ensure their participation in International Medical Corps ways of working
