Finance Officer

- Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enters payments into Abacus (accounting software) under the supervision of Finance Manager
  • Assures that all back-up and approvals are available before Finance Manager makes payment and assist the Finance Manager with expense reports, travel advances, and vendor contracts.
  • Contact beneficiary of checks for pick-up.
  • Scans all accounting documents on a daily basis.
  • Maintain accounting central files
  • Assist with bank reconciliation
  • Enters petty cash entries into Abacus under the supervision of Finance Director
  • Petty cash reconciliation and replenishment
  • Assist in preparing salaries and leave tracker
  • Assist with answering phones.
  • Other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

 - Place of Assignment

 

The Finance Officer will be based in the project’s office in Beirut with travel in Lebanon as needed.

 - Reporting

 

The Finance Officer will report directly to the Finance Manager, or equivalent.
