Videographer and Editor

BACHGROUND

Min ila envisions a society with active, empowered and alerted citizens capable of creating a social change. Its mission is to empower citizens – especially the youth and the marginalized – by fostering citizenship education, promoting a culture of social responsibility and nurturing an engagement to the nation. 

Lika’ is a 6-months project that aims to shed light on critical issues and causes in this country, in order to discuss them and raise awareness around them and ultimately fight for them. 

A total of 10 Lika’s will be implemented in 5 regions across Lebanon: Baalbeck, Tripoli, Akkar, Beirut and Jbeil. Two Lika’s are to be held on the last Saturday of every month (for the next 6 months: November 2019 until March 2020). 

For that, we are looking for a videographer that will accompany ten discussions and deliver other products related to the visibility of the project.

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES

-       Filming and editing of a 2 minutes video about Min ila in general (mission, vision, activities and past projects).

-       Filming of 10 Lika's and edit a 1-minute video from each with one interview with a participant for each of the 10 Lika’.

-       Up to 10-15 pictures during each Lika' for social media use. 

-       Final 3 minutes clip on all 10 Lika's.

-       Ability to guarantee sound quality and high resolution. The voices of people/speakers during the Lika’ are not to be recorded. A general sound background needs to be captured. 

-       Ability to submit the deliverablesdeliver within seven to ten days after each Likaa'

FEE PROPOSAL

The applicant is requested to provide a detailed resume and a proposal or quotation of the fees/cost for services, which will be rendered. The fees proposed are to be all inclusive. Proposals should be sent by November 9, 2019 to info@minila.org. 

Food and transportation to the 10 regions will be provided by Min ila. 

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

A-   The production house or individual contractors should have the following knowledge and experience:

1.    Extensive experience in producing short-format films. Proof of experience should be submitted with application to bid.

B-   Technical requirements:

1.    Broadcast quality full HD video

2.    Professional sound recording for interviews

3.    Editing software and equipment

C-   Competencies

1.    Excellent planning and organizational skills.

2.    Proven ability to meet deadlines.

3.    Able to work effectively with a team

4.    Able to work in a culturally diverse environment
