- Develops implementation plans for all shelter and relief activities and assigns duties and responsibilities to all field workers.
- Implements the project activities within his/her respective area of responsibility as per the annual work plan and budget.
- Ensures that the implementation of the work plan is consistent with the envisaged outputs and objectives of the project document.
- Ensures a coordinated and collaborative approach is undertaken among project partners at field-level /in implementing project interventions and achieving desired outcomes.
- Attends all sector meetings with other implementing partners as well as local and international organizations and UN agencies.
- Ensures that the Project Coordinator is updated on a regular basis about the progress and constraints of the field activities to ensure proper reporting.
- Resolves implementation problems, if any, in consultation with other project staff members and with advice/guidance of the Program Manager & Executive Director.
- Acts as a field-level representative during review meetings, evaluation, and discussions.
- Supervises the activities of field-based staff and consultants, including administrative work and delivery of project outputs.
- Hosts delegations of donors and accompanies them in their field visits as well as coordinates all of their activities.
- Maintains close coordination/linkages with targeted District line agencies, local bodies, NGOs and projects within the project area and keep them fully informed of the project activities.
- Prepares annual work plan, quarterly progress report, annual progress report, and other plans as required, with assistance/inputs of project staff and ensures timely submission to the Project Manager.
- Supervises, coaches and mentors field staff for smooth project implementation.
- Oversees the daily activities of the project coordinator and ensures that project reports are completed and submitted on time.
