External Consultant for the Cross Regional Center for Refugees and Migrants

Aims: 

The aims of the consultancy is as follows:  

  • Support ongoing research efforts by CCRM and in particular the ongoing research work in Lebanon,  Jordan and Egypt 
  • Assess and identify capacity building needs of civil society in the region with a particular attention to CCRM members and provide recommendations
  • Support CCRM secretariat in preparing national level consultations and events in the region 

 

Tasks:

 

The consultant is expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Schedule and carry out indepth interviews with civil society actors in Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon 
  • Schedule and carry out interview with CCRM members and partners in the region
  • Support the work of the secretariat by providing technical support for national workshops and events 

 

Output: 

At the end of the consultancy the consultant is expected to produce two reports. The first report reviews the activities of civil society on migration in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. While the second report will identify the capacity building needs of civil society in the MENA region. 

 

Duration: 

The consultancy will be carried out in November and December 2019. The final consultant report is due in March 2020. 

 

Requirements: 

  • A bachelor degree in social science or a related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in implementing migration projects related on the ground 
  • Experience in working in the MENA region
  • Knowledge of the center’s work or prior participation in CCRM activities is a plus
