- Project Description
The project aims to improve the living conditions of women affected by the Syrian crisis by empowering them economically and socially.
The project is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs Funded by Government of Japan in Partnership with Safadi Foundation as implementing partner.
Different trainings topics will be implemented and will take place in different areas (Bekaa, Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Tripoli and Akkar).
As part of the job creation program lead by SF, initiating a start- up small business support initiative aiming at helping women who succeed in the socio-economic empowerment program, and those who have a project idea, to conceptualize their ideas and develop their critical and analytic thinking in order to succeed in this project.
Therefore, Safadi Foundation is requiring the support of a coach to implement the activities within the project.
- Scope of Work
Under the supervision of the project manager and in close collaboration with project team, the coach will implement coaching sessions for 10 groups of women all over Lebanon (4 women a group, 6 sessions for each group) in order to cover the following:
- To build the capacities of women to categorize needs, analyze their skills to find ways to help their families.
- To build the capacities of women to identify goods and services provided by local businesses, including micro market studies on a local level and assessment of feasibility, demand and other business factors to be considered when launching a small-scaled enterprise.
- To introduce the beneficiaries to the concept of social entrepreneurship.
- To explain to targeted women the key entrepreneurial characteristics.
- To encourage women to use innovative thinking to develop their project’s idea.
- To empower women with knowledge and tools to understand the different aspects of their business ideas.
- To build the capacities on women to draft the feasibility study.
- Enabled women to think of the business plan and formulate it.
- Develop the capacities of women to be able to draft a business plan.
- Enabled women to identify the needed resources to implement the project’s idea with required equipment to be purchased and the estimated cost.
- To enhance the capacities of women to better manage the purchase their equipment and according to specific criteria.
- To support women in exploring networks and approaching non-governmental entities and private sector for
further funding aimed at financial sustainability of their project.
- Expected Outputs and Deliverables

The activities will be implemented during Jan 2020 till end of March 2020 for 18 training hours divided into 6 days for each group , Total Groups number is 8 ( 5 Beneficiaries per group )
- Qualifications Required
- Academic Qualifications: University degree, high school, or equivalent
- Years of Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in training entrepreneurial and business skills
- MOF Number is required.
Competencies:
- Previous experience in working with women
- Experience in organizing trainings
- Good in spoken and written Arabic and good computer skills (Microsoft office, word and excel)
