Community-Based Psychologist

The CBS psychologist will be responsible for conducting psycho-social needs’ assessment to persons of concern (PoCs) among the refugee population and host community in North Lebanon as well as developing and providing a tailored community-based psychosocial support (CBS) program to identified PoCs.

Major responsibilities:

1. To conduct participatory assessment sessions to targeted PoCs
2. To assess the psychosocial needs of identified PoCs
3. To design a tailored community-based psychosocial support program that responds to the needs of identified PoCs.
4. To provide 10 to 12 community-based psychosocial support sessions to identified groups.
5. To train Refugee outreach volunteers (ROVs) who will be responsible for co-facilitating the CBS sessions
6. To supervise the work of the ROVs and provide them with needed guidance
7. To employ pre and post clinical tests in order to measure the program’s impact
8. To pay particular attention to those in need of individual specialized mental health services and refer them accordingly
9. To closely coordinate with the health/mental health professionals at Restart Center to ensure that all services are provided in a holistic and comprehensive approach.
10. To ensure continuous communication and coordination with other agencies for referrals and service provision.
11. To actively participate in weekly coordination meetings.
12. To submit daily reports to the project’s coordinator, including qualitative and quantitative data.
13. To provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports (Master-list, record sheets, checklist, narrative reports, statistics)

Job Requirements:

• University Degree in psychology or any related fields
• Experience in working with refugees
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Ability to work according to Restart Center’s values and code of conduct
• High level of flexibility and capacity to work in challenging security situations
• Flexibility to work in remote areas including Akkar, given that all the services are community-based.
