Finance Officer/Lebanon

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
• Review expense for accuracy and completeness and ensure that expense reports respect the project's budget and terms
• Prepares monthly financial statements, including distributing monthly revenue and expenditure reports to departments
• Produce regular financial reports including cash-flow, balance sheets and income statements& present them to the relevant staff members with observations and recommendations
• Prepares and review financial reports to donors
• Ensure that rules and regulations are followed, particulary with regards to donor regulations
• Ensure adequate liquidity management
• Reconcile all accounts with bank statements and follow-up on the payment of taxes, VAT, etc
• Help prepare the Institution's budget 

Requirements:

• Good command of English and Arabic in both speech and writing
• At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting or relevant field 
• Knowledge of the current (administrative) rules and regulations for the financial administration
• Theoretical and practical knowledge to technical tax and fee and skill in the ability to apply it 
• Ability to work with automated systems and excellent skills in Excel

• As Syria is a challenging country, candidate must have ability to cope with stressful, delicate and possibily unstable situations. Applicants need to be able, flexible and work well under pressure
