MMU Nurse

The objective of the Nurse position within the Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) project is to admit patients, fill medical history, ensure the well functioning of the equipment, and replenishing the medical drug’s stock. He/she should develop an in-depth knowledge of the projects’ activities and processes and be a key point of contact for other project staff members on logistics matters.

Scope of work

The Nurse will be primarily responsible for the following activities:

• To admit patients to the physicians of the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU)
• To fill the patient’s medical history, allergies, vital signs, physician diagnosis and exams in the Information system.
• To provide the patients with medical drugs according to the physician’s prescription
• To prepare the patients before the examination (blood pressure, glucose test….)
• To ensure that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained and insure supply needs for the MMU operations
• To prepare in coordination with the hub assistant the visit of the next day by replenishing the medical drugs’ stock.

Essential Minimum Qualification

• Bs in nursing studies, 
• At least 5 years of proven similar experience
• Strong organizational skills, including time-management and multitasking
• Knowledge and exposure to the social and cultural values of the region
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge in Arabic and English
