Project Field Coordinator (3 vacancies)

Project summary

The Lebanese Developers is implementing a project in the region of Nahr el Joz to support eco-tourism and income generation activities in the area, in collaboration with the Koura and Batroun Union of Municipalities and funded by GIZ Urban Development Programme for deprived Areas in North Lebanon (UDP-NL).The overall goal of this project is to promote eco-tourism in the Nahr el Joz area with the aim to enhance the local business development.The project will be implemented in the frame of a Cash for Work (CfW) intervention.  

Job Purpose

The Project Coordinator is supposed to do the monitoring of the work of his team, the assessment, planning, and documentation, capacity building support (training and facilitation) and coordination with the local municipalities to implement the project. He will assist the day to day Cash For Work team activities within the Mill's project.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of the field CFW activities in the located area.
  • Support and follow up with project manager on the daily CFW activities.
  • Manage the selection process of CFW Rotation list in coordination with the project officer, checking legibility and submit it to the responsible team.
  • Monitor and support the filed supervisors in filling the daily time sheets and attendance sheets of the participants.
  • Responsible for preparing the payment list, service list and the monthly report in coordination with the project officer.
  • Responsible for collecting data and submitting CFW related reports.
  • Support in the CFW recruitment process by leading the advertisement phase, collecting applications and attend interviews.
  • Support the security officer in resecting the security and safety measures of the field workers.
  • Ensure that all CFW activities are LD CFW SOP’s.

Team

  • Support in CFW related campaign.

Other

  • Abide by the LD’s principles and values as well as the promotion of gender justice and women's rights.
  • Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety and staff health and wellbeing principles.

Job Requirements

3 to 5 years’ experience in Cash For Work or other related fields.

  • Basic HR Experience.
  • Good knowledge in MS office like “Excel”. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of Cash for Work programming.
  • Able to collect, enter and analyses data.
  • Good coordination skills and strong commitment to gender equality and social justice.
  • Proven knowledge of computerized systems, a high degree of computer literacy, especially word processing and spreadsheet skills.

Essential

  • Experience or willingness to work with refugees and local communities.
  • The post holder should be at ease in working with local communities and Syrian refugees.
  • Good written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.
  • Flexibility of attitude to learn.
  • Able to work under pressure, ability to priorities and commitment to meet deadlines.
  • Sympathy with the aims and objectives of LD.
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and action and to LD’s equal opportunity and gender policies.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a multicultural team.
  • Living in the region of Batroun-Koura.

Education

  • Graduate from a recognized university / Bachelor degree.
