Street and Working Children Volunteer

Duties and responsibilities

•  Liaise with the Supervisor on regular basis regarding the implementation of PSS activities.
• Co-facilitate the PSS activities: CBPSS, Life Skills and Comic book sessions.
• Maintain a safe environment during the PSS activities.
• Identify cases and refer them to the PSS officer.
• Report items needing purchase, repair or replacement and submit list of needs/PSS tools and materials.
•  Responsible for the proper use and basic maintenance of the PSS material and the facility.
•  Handle logistics responsibilities when necessary.
• They support in the outreach through meeting the street connected children on the streets or in the SHLS.
• Assessments are handled to them and start to help in filling it
• Make sure there is gender based group between the children

Qualifications

• Education: High School.
• Work Experience: less than 1 year of experience.
• Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
• Fluent in speaking and writing both Arabic and English Language is plus.
• Be an influencer (positive role model).
• Flexible, adaptable, and handle stress.
•  Understands the work with children , cross-cultural setting
• Attend and participate in outdoor events .
• Comfortable working on the street and at night (on a rotational basis);

Working conditions

The Job requires understanding the challenges faced in working with streets and working children. Excepted to work under challenging circumstances, that requires a patient and calm attitude.
