Cancer Awareness Village 2020

OBJECTIVES:

• Spread awareness about various types of cancer, its prevention and early detection.
• Encourage the Lebanese citizens not to fear this disease and discover it at an early stage.
• Urge the Lebanese citizens to support the cancer fighters to complete their treatment with dignity.

TARGETED GROUP:

• Open to the public 

PAVILLIONS:

• Hospitals:

Each hospital will get a booth in order to explain the services related to cancer diseases it provides. Hospitals are kindly asked to offer free tests to all visitors.

• Universities:

Students are kindly asked to explain in a simplified way the types of cancer they chose and how to prevent them. The concerned faculties are Public Health, Medicine, Nutrition, Pharmacy and Nursing.

• Associations:

Each NGO that is involved in raising awareness about cancer and serves cancer patients will get a booth in order to explain the goals, mission and services it provides.

• Institutions:

There will be special booths for institutions that provide services or products related to health and proper diet.

• Third Party Payers:

The Ministry of Public Health, The National Social Security Fund, The Cooperative of State Employees and other military and private insurance companies.

 

PROGRAM:  

1. The exhibition includes a conference room, where several public cancer awareness lectures given by specialists from the participating hospitals, and patients’ testimonials will take place during the two days.

 

2. A space with a stage will be reserved to physical and psychological activities such as:

Zumba -Fitness - Stretching - Laughter Yoga – Relaxation exercises
