Access to Justice Program Manager

   Terre des hommes- Lausanne is in search for a qualified Access to Justice Program Manager.

 

    Job Purpose / Main Functions:

  1. The A2J Program Manager provides multi-based, multi-donor and multi-partner direction, supervision and follow-up concerning the Access to Justice Program in Lebanon. In addition, s/he actively contributes to the regional development of the A2J Program in Middle East and North Africa under the guidance of the MENA Regional A2J Program Coordinator.

 

  1. S/he is responsible for the implementation of the Program’s Strategy and managerial coordination of program’s teams. S/he has a major responsibility of steering and outcomes pertaining the strategic and operational work. S/he facilitates and supports intersectoral and /or integrated approach with other Programs.

 

  1. S/he supports and validates the quality of the work done by the teams, in line with the regional steering of the A2J Program and broadly, within Tdh’s quality and accountability standards.

   Duties & Responsibilities / Context  (Tasks) :

  1. S/he is responsible for the A2J Strategy development and monitoring in Lebanon, in collaboration with the Tdh Lebanon Program Coordinator and the Tdh A2J MENA Regional Coordinator.
  2. S/he designs and plans project’s activities and supervise their correct implementation as well as the quality standards applied. S/he supervises associated resources and actively contribute to fundraising for the A2J Program in Lebanon.
  3. S/he actively contributes to research, A2J need-assessments, capitalization exercises and organization of events pertaining the A2J Program in Lebanon.
  4. S/he ensures the coaching of any collaborator under her/his responsibility and uses good management practices with the colleagues under her/his responsibility.
  5. S/he coordinates efforts of each teams and within the teams and ensures proper communications and harmonization of approaches, practices and tools.
  6. S/he ensures an efficient financial management of the A2J projects and guarantees a monthly tracking of budgets in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  7. S/he fosters the correct, timely, comprehensive and strategic communication and visibility of the A2J Program, including by representing and actively contributing to national forums/working groups when relevant to the field of activity.
  8. Within her/his field of activity, strengthens and develops synergies with governmental institutions, international and local organizations, academia, independent experts, networks and private sector when relevant.
  9. S/he reinforces M&E process for A2J in Lebanon, in collaboration with the correspondent colleagues.
  10. S/he helps ensuring the correct and timely flow of information within the delegation and the regional teams.
  11. S/he knows and implements policies on security, safeguarding, child protection and fraud prevention

IT Knowledge: Master of Microsoft Office Package

Professional competencies:

  1. Effectively designs, monitors (including budget) and coordinates A2J Projects within the Lebanon Delegation.
  2. Ensures that A2J MENA programmatic approaches are visible, understood and mainstreamed in the activities.
  3. Provides highly level networking and representation of the A2J Programme in Lebanon, and very good networking and communication with highly positioned key stakeholder.
  4. Strongly combines strategic thinking (including fundraising) with quality and timely A2J operations on the field.
  5. Provides sound technical support in the areas of research and advocacy pertaining to A2J

• University degree in political, social, criminal sciences or Law.
• Master’s degree relevant to the position will be an added value.
• Proven knowledge of child protection in general (including gender mainstreaming standards as a minimum within the sector) and access to justice for children in particular (including Lebanese legal framework).
