International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. In Lebanon, International Medical Corps works to ensure access to quality health services for Syrian refugees, vulnerable Lebanese and other persons of concern by supporting a network of about 50 primary healthcare clinics and dispensaries across the country.
In order to monitor the performance and effectiveness of the programs, and to improve the delivery of future projects, the MEAL department is responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the project; monitoring the project activities on a regular basis, preparing reports on project progress, ensuring accountability and collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
The Health Information Officer is responsible to follow up on all health information system matters and will serve as the focal point for all field concerns related to the HIS system with the clinics. In addition, he/she is responsible in building the capacity of IMC teams through trainings and workshops. He/she will be in regular contact with MoPH IT focal points and IMC field staff to ensure timely and needed data collection is in place
Main Responsabilities:
- Work closely with health program team and IT consultant to stay abreast with all planned updates and changes to the Health Information System.
- Attend Health Information System trainings held by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) as needed and coordinate with the MOPH IT to schedule trainings for partner clinics and/or health teams as needed
- Build the capacity of field staff on the Health Information System and other reporting systems.
- Serve as the focal point between IMC partner clinics and the HIS consultant through the health officers, working to triage requests, track problems in Health Information System and other reporting systems and following up to ensure resolution of all requests.
- Conduct regular data quality checkups and liaise with relevant IMC staff to ensure regular and timely information flow.
- Monitor and aggregate monthly data on health indicators.
- Prepare and report the data for Activity info to the grants and reporting officer
- Conduct monthly data checkups on data submitted by the consortium partner.
- Conduct visits to IMC field sites when needed.
