Job Vacancy: Accountant

The position of “Accountant” for a Project on Marine Environment, Sustainable Tourism, and Blue Growth implemented by AMWAJ environment Association must have the following:

Responsibilities

• Maintain cash transactions, including writing receipts, preparing payment request forms, and disbursement of cash and clearance of advances;
• Manage banking transactions related to the project, including preparing bank transfer requests, submitting them to the bank, monitoring transfers and preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements and reporting;
• Maintain a logical and comprehensive record of financial transactions, with supporting documentation, for reference and audit purposes - Prepare project financial reports;
• Ensure the smooth flow of funds to enable the timely implementation of project activities

Qualifications

• University degree with knowledge in accounting, finance or related field.
• At least two years of experience in financial and accounting work, experience in budgeting, planning and reporting on international funded projects especially European Union projects.
• Good computer skills in common word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), and accounting software.
• Working English language skills in both writing and speaking.

Location: Beirut and/or South

Expected Duration of Assignment: 3 years
