Description:
- To work with local authorities
- Manage water and sanitation rehabilitation and/or maintenances in public facilities
- To undertake technical assessments and prepare BoQs for contractors and manage monitoring (work progress, quantity, and quality) for assigned activities
- Manage cleaning campaigns if requested and Hygiene promotion activities
- Report on a regular basis to the Team Leader about program implementation and the difficulties faced in the field and report quickly in case of problem or change
- Respect deadlines established with the Team Leader
- Conduct basic training for the daily worker on technical issues if requested
- To monitor progress of activity implementation and contractors
- Ensure that all data is entered on time and check their consistency and quality.
- Apply safety & security procedures in field operations
- Monitor and distribute Cleaning and hygiene products.
- Other related tasks requested by the team leader
Reporting
- Report to Team Leader all information related to activities, and security context or any event that may affect the activities and security.
- Listen to the local population and authorities in order to identify any needs, complaints, or major events which could affect the activities
- Report every day to the Team Leader regarding progress on activities.
- Coordinate with support staff all staff involved in the program.
- Participate in coordinating and organizing field visits carried out by donors and internal staff.
- Have and promote good behavior on the field as SHEILD Staff member.
Educational & Professional background:
- Bachelor’s Degree but not limited to Degree in Civil/Environmental/Water/Public Health Engineering or related field.
- Relevant field to WASH development assistance
- Experience of 3 years in WASH sector
- Report writing; Analysis capacity
- Social mobilization and hygiene promotion
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to plan, forecast, anticipate and respect deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email/internet software
Languages
- Fluency in Arabic is required. Working knowledge of English Language is a must
