Protection Field Supervisor - Based in Aarsal

Supervise and monitor the activity implemented in Bekaa, providing support to the field team in terms of coordination and support.

Coordinate with stakeholder, local authorities and other NGO to avoid any overlap into activities

Provide support for senior field officers into community protection approach activities at field level

Monitor field activities at field level and ensure consistency of data collection

Support when needed the deputy program manager in collecting information for reports

Plan and present a good leadership in front the team and put objectives with the senior field officer

 

Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: Implementation of Community Protection Approach field activities at field level (55%)

 

Support field team in planning and implementing all CPA process to meet project deliverables based on timeline and scope agreed with the donor;

 

Provide daily support and coordination for CPA implementation;

 

Assist in filing and record keeping of CPA related activities;

 

Participate in and supervise the collection of quantitative and qualitative data using GVC Protection Platform or any other relevant tools to ensure the accurate and timely submission of the gathered data

 

Conduct regular field visits to follow up and provide support as needed

 

Ensure that SoPs and guidelines for formats and tools during all CPA process are put in place by the field staff

Objective 2: Team management (25%)

 

Supervise the staff under his/her supervision to ensure they are working effectively and to the best of their capacity

 

Participate in staff training, helping to build technical capacity of staff.

 

Mentor and coach colleagues and team members, building their capacity to obtain high quality results and impacts.

 

Support the relations with other AAH staff in the base, the support staff and M&E staff from Zahle Base and Beirut Country Office

 

Helps to develop and execute context-specific solutions to improve collaboration, coordination and performance of the AAH staff.

 

Supervise the staff under his/her supervision to ensure they are working effectively and to the best of their capacity

Objective 3: Reporting  (15%)

 

Report the progress of the work to the PM and contributes to the reports and other ad hoc reports to meet donor and internal requirements;

 

Report possible problem or conflict during the activities.

 

Report the use of materials and possible improvement.

 

Data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries.

Objective 4: Meal  (5%)

 

Ensure that all referrals are collected and submitted to the right focal points

 

Ensure the consistency of data collection

 

Data monitoring spot checks and follow up with deputy PM

Objective 5: Security

 

Tasks

 

Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.

 

Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan

Objective 6: Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger

 

Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.

 

Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.

 

Promote gender equality within the humanitarian and/or development work

 

Do you meet the profile required criteria?

Training/ Education:

A bachelor's degree in Social Fields ,

Technical specific knowledge:

Team leadership, reporting capacity, organized and rigorous, availability/learning capacity

Ability to prioritize a large workload for self and the team.

Previous experience:

Al least Three years’ experience in supervising position within international organization / experience in Leading and manage team

 

Humanitarian sector knowledge:

 

At least 3 years of experience in humanitarian field

Action Against the Hunger knowledge:

NA

Languages:

Fluent in English and Arabic

IT and specific systems:

 

Knowledge in word , excel and PowerPoint / data entry and analysis

Mobility (national/ international)

Based in Arsal with frequent travels to Zahle, Beirut
