Overall Responsibility
Project Assistant will be consulted by Project Engineer for the implementation, in managing and controlling the process of the project.
The project will include but not limited to:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Assistant is responsible for supervising the project in progress and ensures that all issues related to the project are clarified and completed to avoid confusion and interruption during execution of projects.
- Project Assistant should takes records of all project items, and sees to it that they are adequately delivered to the various departments as directed by the project Engineer.
- Conducting performance checks of all electrical/ water fittings in the place of work and confirming safety.
- Allocating responsibilities to workers, supervising them while installation and Carrying out the day-to-day monitoring of them.
- Preparing estimates items/ resources required for the project Engineer.
- Documenting various aspects electrical/ water engineering works.
- Assist the Project Engineer in providing accurate work plan of the needed during implementation.
- Reporting to electrical engineer if discrepancies in safety measures or installation procedures are found and take steps to solve the problem
- Take steps to improve the efficiency, make suggestions and recommend changes in the existing systems.
Experience / Education/Skills- Essential
- Minimum of 1 year of relative experience, preferred with international NGOs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
- To be ready to work overtime and readiness to travel.Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to take initiatives if required.
- Ability to multi-task effectively as well as display professionalism and confidence.
Ability To
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of assignment.
- Word-processing, spreadsheet and database software programs related to job functions.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Language
- Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
IT skills
- V. Good computer skills.
- Proficiency in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting.

- V. Good technical reporting skills.
- Strong planning, communications and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
- Diplomacy, tact & negotiation skills.
- Report writing skills.
