I. INTRODUCTION
Project Background Information
The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014. LRI started as a project launched in 2010 by the United States Forest Service (USFS) Office of International Programs (IP) through the support and funding of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). LRI's mission is to restore Lebanon's native forests and to instill commitment to reforestation and wildfire prevention and response, through capacity building of local communities and organizations.
The project is operated by LRI’s offices in Jdeideh, but the position is located in Anjar.
II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
In partnership with Houch Moussa-Anjar Municipality, LRI seeks a full-time Administrative Coordinator with basic knowledge in HR, accounting, procurement and logistics.
The Administrative Coordinator is expected to perform the following duties:
- Support in the preparation, update and implementation of the organizational policies and procedures;
- Manage office logistics to ensure safe and smooth office operation;
- Coordinate with municipalities on utilities;
- Ensure that incoming materials from suppliers are in good order and are properly stored;
- Supervise the work of the Janitor and ensure availability of supplies needed for cleaning;
- Manage stock properly and efficiently;
- Maintain an asset inventory for the park and update it regularly;
- Manage IT equipment and coordinate with the municipality’s designated IT support when needed;
- Manage visitor ticketing and accounting related to that;
- Manage the Park House’s sales and accounting related to that;
- Establish and maintain general filing system for the office;
- Handle accounting transactions and submit weekly reports and monthly reconciliations to Park Manager;
- Support staff orientation when needed;
- Compile all the staff’s personal documents and timesheets; and
- Support in other admin tasks as needed.
III. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
The Administrative Coordinator should possess the following competencies, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management, Administration, Accounting or related topic;
- At least 2 years of experience in administration;
- Experience in data management and archiving is a plus;
- High organizational skills;
- Knowlege in Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet & E-mail);
- Flexibility and readiness to take on additional tasks; and
- English, Arabic and Armenian are a must. French is a plus.
