PURPOSE OF POSITION:

ARK Group is recruiting a Beirut-based Video Editor to support filming and original content creation for an online platform promoting political accountability and education on citizens’ rights in Lebanon. The objective of the platform is to encourage and support citizens and civil society to engage in and influence change that results in or contributes to greater efficiency, responsiveness and/or accountability.

Major Responsibilities

Pre-production:

Assist the Production Team in creating innovative campaign plans based on project objectives and evaluations of past campaigns performance;

Oversee filming of original footage to be used in ARK’s campaigns

Creating engaging video content & communications in Arabic for ARK’s campaigns in line with project requirements and video best practices;

Use your motion graphics skills to create assets and animate them for your videos;

Maintain and organise the Production team’s archives for future use;

Video Editing:

Requirements

Essential:

Fluent in Lebanese Arabic (you will be editing raw content coming from this region and need to understand spoken dialectal Arabic);

Familiarity with the history and current situation in Lebanon;

Previous experience in ideation and content creation for campaigns involving advocacy and civil society;

5+ years of proven experience in video production;

Demonstrated creativity with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Premier Pro CC, Final Cut, After Effects and Audition;

First class communications skills and team attitude;

Displays an enthusiastic, calm and flexible attitude, especially when facing challenges;

Understands the importance of workflow in the wider production process.
