Graphic Designer

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is seeking an energetic and detail- oriented Graphic Designer. This position requires a creative, intuitive designer who is also well organized, a quick learner, and has a desire to work under limited supervision as a part of a team. Applicants for this position must have a graphics design suite already loaded on their laptop(s).

Major Activities

• Liaising with departments and units to determine their requirements
• Managing requests from design to production
• Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for visibility materials, illustrations, company logos and websites
• Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required
• Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality

Education & Experience

• Proven graphic designing experience
• Formal education in Graphic design
• Interest in the humanitarian sector and non-profit fundraising 
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Excellent knowledge with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• Adequate skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational & communication skills & time management
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Ability to take initiative, to set priorities, work independently, and manage multiple tasks
