Responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact with NPA partners’ finance staff to identify any capacity building needs & areas of risk.
- Provide support, advice & mentorship to partners on financial management & finance systems development and ensure compliance with the contracted obligations & the budget norms/standards.
- Assist in developing the capacity of the partners’ finance staff to ensure that a good standard of financial management is maintained.
- Serve as a focal person for financial training for both NPA & partners finance staff.
- Review partner organization budgets & proposals.
- Reconcile partners' installments by the end of each partnership contacts.
- Ensure overall compliance with NPA financial guidelines & procedures.
- Assist Finance Manager with the reconciliation of accounts cash and bank and the monthly closing process
- Assist in the budgeting process and budget monitoring
- Assist in budgeting and financial report to donors
- Financial quality assurance of internal documents.
- Follow up on the cash flow requirements of the partners.
- Facilitate FM in partners, project & institutional audits.
- Participate in budgeting and financial quality assurance of internal documents when required.
Function prerequisite
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant accounting certification
- Minimum 3-5 years of related professional experience, preferably with an international organization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures, financial controls & financial information system.
- Fluent in English, Arabic both spoken and written.
- Good Knowledge of MS Office programs, particularly Excel & Word.
- Experience with the organizations working in the development or humanitarian sector.

Desirable
The following qualifications are desirable and will be an advantage, but are not requirements:
- Experience in staff capacity building
- Experience in capacity building of local organizations and organizational development.
- Experience in assessing financial management systems and setting up financial management procedures and policies for organizations or other relevant entities.
- Knowledge of the civil society sector in Lebanon and the region.
- Previous experience with Agresso, QuickBooks, or any other accounting software.
- Experience in handling of cash & filing.
- Knowledge of local partner audit procedures and standard international audit requirements.
