Nurse (Quaraoun Village/ West Beqaa)

1. Nursing Care

Isolation/ Confirmed cases

• Screen for severity of COVID-19 symptoms, and refer any newly developed severe symptom to the Medical Doctor.
• Ensure proper isolation of COVID-19 confirmed cases according to UNHCR’s SOP and WHO guidelines.
• Ensure continuous infection prevention and control, including proper medical waste management and proper hygiene standards.
• Collect the cases medical history (Co-Morbidities and Risk Factors), presence of allergies and medications taken at home.
• Assist the Medical Doctors in providing the needed care.
• Follow treatment plans developed by Medical doctors and the Pharmacist.
• Ensure respect of patients safety and confidentiality

Quarantine/ Suspected cases (exposed)

• Screen for presentation of COVID-19 symptoms on exposed patients and refer any newly developed symptom to the Medical Doctor.
• Refer exposed patients who developed symptoms to MOPH to check their eligibility for COVID-19 testing.
• Assist newly confirmed cases to move from the Quarantine area to the Isolation area.
• Assist the Medical Doctor and the Pharmacist in order to ensure the highest quality of care possible, especially in the management of morbidities other than COVID-19.
• Collect patients’ medical history, presence of allergies, medication taken at home
• Check the patients’ vital signs before meeting the doctor
• Ensure continuous infection prevention and control, including sterilization of medical utensils, waste management, disinfection of rooms
• Ensure that quarantined patients are completely separated from each other to avoid any possible infection transmission.
• Ensure respect of patients’ safety and confidentiality

2. General Administrative Support

• Record basic information on individual patient health for the file (administrative part: name, address, phone number (if available), age, sex, and status - resident/refugee.)
• Assist on any ad-hoc tasks as required by the medical team and RI management
• Attend trainings organized by WHO, MOPH, RI, or any other external organization
• Perform other duties as needed.
