Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of FPSS in line with global and national inter-agency SOPs and standards.
- Identify safe spaces to provide Focused PSS (FPSS) that adhere to the quality checklists for center-based and outreach activities agreed at the inter-agency level.
- Adapt the location and timing of sessions, content and approach of the focused PSS program to the needs and availability of the participants including children with special needs.
- Actively identify the most vulnerable: children at high risk of or engaged in child labor and/or early marriage and their caregivers and ensure their enrollment in focused PSS programs, community based PSS, support group or positive parenting.
- Ensure all children, caregivers in focused PSS sessions are referred to case management. As well as ensuring referrals to other services and assistance as needed and relevant.
- Actively ensure referrals from community-based protection activities and case management to focused PSS
- Support participants to provide feedback on focused PSS through the SDQ.
- Ensure proper documentation of data collected during PSS activities (hard and soft copies).
- Support the team through observing and monitoring the CB PSS Facilitators’ implementation as required and when needed.
- Support in identifying Community Focal Points and members of Community Based Groups to deliver CB PSS as facilitators
- Support in delivering support group sessions to caregivers as part of the CB PSS program.
- Deliver Parenting curriculum to caregivers of children attending focused PSS.
- Support the logistics and procurement processes needed for the implementation of PSS activities.
- Maintain positive relations with implementing actors, local authorities and other international and stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Child protection officer.
Experience and technical competencies:
- At least 1 year of experience in provision of Focused Psychosocial support activities with children and caregivers
- Trained on CP case management National SoP
- Good knowledge of CP case management principles
- Excellent knowledge of child protection and GBV and PSS basic principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination, safety and inclusion of CP and GBV cases at all times
- Excellent gender and age appropriate facilitation skills, child development and adult learning techniques, and good knowledge of GBV, child protection and PSS basic principles
- Excellent knowledge of child development and adult learning techniques
- Excellent capacity building, training, coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent knowledge of the negative impacts of child labor on child development
- Excellent knowledge of the worst and other forms of child labor
- Excellent communication and psychosocial first aid skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings is a plus
