Senior PSP Digital Associate – G7 – HRR014 – UNOPS Contract - Beirut, Lebanon (PSP Unit)

Organizational Context

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect and assist refugees and other persons of concern.

 Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) sits within UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER) and is responsible for mobilizing resources from the private sector for refugees. UNHCR have developed a $1 Billion Private Sector Fundraising Strategy 2018-2025. This strategy focuses on both Individual Giving and Private Sector Partnerships and identifies priority fundraising markets and regions.

Individual Giving (IG) is targeted at the general public to secure the support of individuals through regular, unrestricted donations, cash appeals and legacies. The aim is to generate both monthly and one-time donations from individuals using various channels and methods including direct mail, face-to-face fundraising, telemarketing, digital fundraising, DRTV and emergency fundraising, with focus on strong donor loyalty and lifetime value. 

The Senior PSP Digital Support Associate is responsible for the functionality and efficiency of the web infrastructure of the PSP digital hub. S/He will work on the creation, maintenance and active testing of all public and private facing web and e-commerce sites as well as producing meaningful marketing KPI dashboards and delivering monthly, cross-channel performance reports with actionable insight. 

S/He will also involve conducting conversion optimization consultancies, with the aim of improving efficiency in the unit’s digital marketing strategies and increasing ROI.

 

Functional Statement

 

Accountability

Develop Digital Materials (microsites, landing Pages, emails, etc.) on time with input from different stakeholders.

Lead the conversion optimization porgrams across the different digital materials.

Responsibility  

Work in close collaboration with PSP teams to develop cross channel fundraising campaigns including digital, F2F, Telemarketing, DRTV, direct mail etc.

Contribute to the development of the fundraising strategies and products for diverse individual fundraising activities that serve to recruit and retain loyal individual donors.

Development and implementation of Emergency plans for telemarketing and Face-to-Face.

Manage relations with partners, contractors and suppliers to implement IG programs.

Contribute to broaden and enhance our market knowledge and in analyzing the competitive environment to monitor PSP performance and make recommendation to management.

Develop and implement a welcome program for newly recruited monthly donors and one-time donors. 

Targeting/segmentation based on donor insights, behavior, interactions and gifts history.

Ensuring accuracy of data entries needed for telemarketing of outbound and inbound campaign.

Coordinate any relevant reporting and analysis of donor development activities in order to evaluate performance and enhance future communications

In consultation with CRM Manager, ensure that effective TN selection criteria are made, schedule for export and import of TM files, and priorities and request data statistics needed for proper evaluation and optimization of TM programs.

Responsible for the database management and Lifetime Value analysis and identifying, recommending and implementing key actions to reduce attrition rates.

Ensure quality control and training systems for F2F Agencies and in-house programs. 

Ensuring that donor acquisition income targets are achieved in a cost-effective manner.

Manage relations with partners, contractors and suppliers to implement FR programs

Oversee scripts for different telemarketing campaigns.

Keep up to date with giving techniques and strategies to increased or maintain donations from multiple donors.

Develop emergency plans for different fundraising activities.

Perform other duties as required.

Essential Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience Required

Completion of secondary education with post-secondary certificate/training preferably with a University degree in computer science, Information Technology or business administration, University degree is an asset.
Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience with high school Diploma or 2 years’ experience with graduate degree or equivalent.
Proven record in managing IT/web related projects and working with external suppliers.
Experience in coordination and supervision of fundraising campaigns in profit or non-profit industry.
Experience in fundraising related databases and software


Desirable Qualifications & Competencies

Proven experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer
Proven experience working with analytical software (e.g Google Analytics) and website optimization tools for A/B and multivariate testing, e.g. Google Website Optimizer, VWO, etc.
High level of experience in data analysis techniques and advanced Excel
High level of experience in measuring and analyzing online marketing campaigns including natural and paid search, email, affiliate, display and social.
Proficient in HTML/CSS, XML, SQL, Javascript and Responsive Design
Credible and articulate, with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
