Electro-Mechanical Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION

The ICRC's Water and Habitat Electro-Mechanical Engineer is part of a team with complementary competencies, and therefore, bringing his/her specific skills to the team. The engineer works in Rafiq Hariri University Hospital as part of a Wathab team involved in infrastructure renovation projects.

He/She plans projects to address the need and problems encountered, negotiate with local authorities and firms regarding project implementation, supervise the execution of the projects, liaise with support departments for logistic and financial process, and handle all administrative aspects until project completion.

YOUR PROFILE

5 years of working experience in the electro-mechanical sector, notably in the design of HVAC systems in hospitals;

Extensive knowledge of hospital engineering and public health standards applicable to health care facilities, equipment and installations (HVAC centralized systems, water systems, electricity, fire safety, energy);

Proven practical experience in project management (design, site supervision) and/or operation and maintenance;

Proven analytical skills, and engineering project design and planning capacities;

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

University Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering;

Proven technical knowledge in HVAC systems and electricity;

Proficient in use of drawing software (AutoCAD);

Fluent English is required. French an asset.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out assessments, designs and project management related to the renovation of infrastructure and electro-mechanical systems at RHUH. Focus is made on ensuring sustainable aspects alongside technical integrity.

Provides technical advices as a technical referent in the field of electro-mechanicals, in line with recognized health engineering standards.

Coordinates, supports and delivers engineering projects contributing to reinforcing the resiliency of the hospital facilities as well as the sustainability of its operation and maintenance systems;

Develops and maintains technical relations with the maintenance department of RHUH, as well as the consultants and contractors involved in the projects;
