Researcher (Part-Time): Internet Access and Privacy

Key Responsibilities

Work with research team to produce a literature review on the obstacles to internet access and the threats to digital privacy that refugees face

Assist in drafting interview questions

Assist in drafting a survey

Conduct interviews with public sector stakeholders

Contribute writing a report summarizing the findings from the literature review and interviews

Attend project meetings virtually

Qualifications

Academic background in anthropology, communications, sociology, or psychology

Previous experience conducting research interviews and drafting surveys

Previous experience working with vulnerable groups

Excellent writing and communications skills

Fluent in English and Arabic (i.e ability to conduct interviews in both languages)

Ability to work independently and also as part of a team

Familiarity with digital rights issues

Based in Lebanon

Preferred 

Previous experience writing and editing published reports or longform articles

Experience conducting and designing mixed methods research projects
