Researcher (Part-Time): Contact-Tracing Apps

Key Responsibilities

Work with research team to produce a literature review on the effectiveness of Lebanon’s coronavirus response and the technology used

Document the different applications released by the Lebanese government, private sector actors, and local governments to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus

Assist in drafting interview questions

Conduct interviews with local and international public health experts

Contribute writing a report summarizing the findings from the literature review and interviews

Attend project meetings virtually

Qualifications

Academic background in public health, sociology, communications, or anthropology preferred

Previous experience conducting research interviews and analyzing responses

Excellent writing and communications skills

Fluent in English and Arabic (i.e ability to conduct interviews in both languages)

Ability to work independently

Familiarity with digital rights issues, particularly digital privacy and data protection

Based in Lebanon

Previous experience writing and editing published reports or longform articles
