The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for working at community level to support the correct implementation of the project activities. The Community Mobilizer will be primarily field based ( in the north region ), and will work closely with the Project Manager and the other project staff.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Plan, coordinate and monitor ongoing project activities in collaboration and under the supervision of the Project Manager;
- Design and implement outreach initiatives within target communities;
- Support in the selection of the project beneficiaries;
- Ensure the active involvement of target communities with a participatory approach;
- Support the PM in the organization of the training sessions to be realized;
- Mobilize and network with the partners and the key stakeholders for the implementation of the project activities;
- Monitor and supervise the activities implemented;
- Data collection and reporting;
- Be the focal point and responsible for the implementation of MEAL procedure for the monitoring and evaluation of the project activities;
- Report to the Project Manager on the status of implementation of the activities;
- Translate and/or prepare the reports on project implementation to be presented to the donor/other partners, and the monthly project activity reports;
- Maintain a high level of collaboration and coordination with all project staff;
- Monthly reports in English are required. Possibility of reporting in Arabic according to necessity;
- Ensure timely completion of project activities according to the weekly and monthly plans.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year work experience in the field of development/human rights;
- Proven previous experience in community development and mobilization;
- A bachelor degree in Development, Social/Political Science or equivalent;
- Good English writing skills and research ability;
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure and against deadlines;
- Knowledge of INGO procedures;
- Perfect knowledge of Arabic;
- Knowledge and experience in gender issues and gender mainstreaming;
- Computer literate: Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Familiar with participatory approach, human rights and gender mainstreaming approach;
- Highly organized and able to work both autonomously and in team, with flexibility to take on additional tasks, as needed;

- Trustworthy, good listener, flexible, detail oriented and can maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- Stress-resilient and able to cope with deadlines and complex problems;
- Skills in community mobilization are critical;
- Possess cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures;
