The Project Coordinator (Network Facilitator) oversees the coordination of the implementation of activities, the communication and the exchange of information, updates, and material of the PASC WG (People Affected by the Syrian Crisis Working Group).
In addition, the Project Coordinator will be in charge of monitoring the humanitarian sector in relation to Protection issues (Legal Documentation, Evictions, Deportations, Child Protection, SGBV, Discriminations, etc.), and follow-up with other stakeholders on developments of the Protection sector to make sure the PASC network is engaged and able to address them through advocacy, research and networking.
Project Management
- Responsible for the execution of the project against the agreed objectives and within the agreed budgets.
- Responsible for accurate budget control and overall responsibility for financial management in line with the project proposal.
- Ensure appropriate administrative, financial, and logistical systems/procedures are maintained and adhered to.
- Responsible for the project reporting in line with the relevant donor contracts and compliance requirements.
- Ensure monitoring systems are in place and that project reviews/audits are carried out periodically.
- Optimise, in conjunction with other team members, the use of human, logistical and financial potential.
- In coordination with the Programs Manager, identify, draw up plans, proposals, and budgets for new projects/extensions of projects.
Network Facilitation
- Constantly follow-up and coordinate with the PASC members regarding advocacy activities, trainings, reporting, sharing sectoral updates, etc.
- Convene PASC meetings to discuss the network’s strategy, advocacy, the Lebanese context, and to exchange updates and information between members.
- Organize trainings and capacity building for the PASC members.
- Organize steering groups’ committees to discuss the implementation of advocacy initiatives.
- Oversee and update the PASC website.
- Oversee the project’s communication strategy (social media, visibility, etc.).
Research and advocacy
- Draft and support the Programs Manager in drafting advocacy briefs, statements and reports addressing Protection issues.
- Keep up with the humanitarian news and updates, especially the developments of the Protection sector (reports, publications, legal updates, meetings.
- Produce news bulletin to prepare conferences and advocacy messages during meetings.
- Establish long-term advocacy coordination and implementation through advocacy venues such as the Brussels Conference, the UPR, etc.
- Represent ALEF and the PASC WG at various events (meetings, seminars, webinars, and conferences) organized by donors, international organizations, INGOs, LNGOs humanitarian networks and groups.
