Facilitator - Basic Literacy and Numeracy Facilitators - Akkar

Major Responsibilities of facilitators:

 Organize and deliver BLN classes (Literacy, Numaracy and Life Skills)
 Teach according to the curriculum and different learning materials when needed
 Assign and correct assessments
 Maintain classroom organization and discipline.
 Attend regular meetings when needed
 Prepare classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts
 Participate in ongoing training sessions if present
 Work with project/education coordinators to ensure objectives are being met
 Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
 Perform any other related tasks
 Accompany children in bus or in extra curricula activity if needed
 Create positive learning environment

 
Job Requirements

Academic Qualifications

 University degree in Mathematics, French, English, Arabic or Education
Professional Experience

 1 to 2 years of experience in teaching or education
 Experience in developing lesson plans and classroom programs
 Experience in classroom management
 Experience in working with vulnerable individuals

Skills

 Good communication skills with the ability to listen actively, understand and
communicate with children and staff
 Strong organization and teamwork skills
 Approachable and has the ability to maintain confidentiality
 Good cultural awareness and interpersonal skills
 Must be capable in teaching in Arabic and either English or French (both spoken and
written)
