MEAL Officer

  • In collaboration with the MEAL coordinator and the Program and Project Managers, establish a reliable and consistent set of output/outcome indicators for AVSI projects, develop logical framework and M&E plan including the identification of measurement methodologies, data collection plans and tools.
  • Develop an overall  M&E  plan  in line with the project logical framework and  manage  day-to-day  operations  of  the  M&E  system,  including  support  of  project officers (field staff)  in  continued  implementation  of  M&E  tools  and  instruments.
  • Ensure data received is accurate and reliable for integration into the database and for reporting purpose.
  • Follow-up with the Information System team to develop a harmonized system of data collection for each sector of activity along with the data storage system for each project.
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to monitor field activities and ensure cohesion of data collected on field.
  • Conduct field qualitative assessments such as focus group discussion or key informant interviews.
  • Elaborate monthly progress reports for all assigned projects.
  • Produce reliable quantitative and qualitative data for internal and external reporting and ensure timely compilation for monthly reporting or when needed.
  • Collaborate with the MEAL coordinator to generate quality analysis of the data collected including trends, impacts, achievements and gaps.
  • Update assigned projects dashboards at monthly basis.
  • Participate in the conduction of assessments surveys and the generation of the related reports.
  • Assist the MEAL coordinator in drafting the M&E project reports and the project team in data retrieving when needed.
  • Assist the project teams in strengthening the accountability mechanisms at project level.
  • In coordination with the MEAL coordinator, draft tools and database to collect, track and follow-up on beneficiaries’ feedback.
  • Under each assigned project, ensure beneficiaries feedback and complaints are effectively tracked and addressed.
  • Collaborate with MEAL and project teams to collect and document lessons learnt, to conduct reviews and learning events for activities adaptation.
  • Introduce M&E tools to project teams and technically assist them with data entries when required.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly analysis report as requested by the MEAL coordinator.
  • Draft template for focus group discussions, interviews, baseline and endline surveys and generate the related digital collection tool accordingly.
  • Prepate adequate sampling upon conduction of assessmenst surveys.
