3. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 1: Partner Relationships (25% of time)

• Follow up with partners on effective implementation and set work plans with partners, follow up on activities, needs, and timeliness
• Support them whenever necessary on their BDS related activities
• Follow up on partners narrative reports

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 2: Activities implementation (40% of time)

• Oversee the implementation of entrepreneurship related activities as per set workplan and methodologies
• Manage the beneficiary data base and ensure selection
• Communicate with selected beneficiaries
• Ensure distribution of SME rehabilitation grants
• Follow with SMEs on grant use and rehabilitation works
• Support CARE MEAL team to assess the quality of the activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 3: Coordination (25% of time)

• Ensure coordination with other NGOs and local authorities in targeted areas
• Manage receive referrals of SMEs in need in targeted areas
• Refer un-addressed needs of SMEs to other NGOs

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 4: Reporting & Information sharing (10% of time)

• Support with drafting narrative and quantitative reports as per CARE internal requirements and donor requirements.
• Ensure internal communication and information sharing on project with relevant staff (Socio-economic development Coordinator, Project Manager, M&E team etc.).

Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

4. Qualifications / special skills or knowledge

a. Skills & knowledge:

• 3 years minimum experience in a similar role working in project implementation on livelihood & entrepreneurship, preferably in an International NGO.
• Experience in working in donor-funded projects with International NGO’s particularly those addressing livelihoods and economic development.
• Experience in building capacity and follow-up of partners
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, excellent planning skills and provide timely quality information and reports.
• Ability to work well with a team and partners and establish relationships with other teams/offices/partners.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures with highly developed interpersonal skills and fluency in English

b. Experience:

At least   3-5  years of relevant experience, especially at NGOs, academic organizations, standard-setting bodies, public agencies focused on livelihood, economic empowerment, social entrepreneurship, business development

c. Academic background: 

Master’s degree in one or several of the following areas: economy, social sciences, business administration

4. Languages: English and/ or Arabic are the working language of CARE International in Lebanon.

11. of other languages is an asset.

5. Other contract elements

Benefits: Social Security/Health Insurance & Transport allowance.

The direct supervisor reserves the right to adapt this job description at any time during employment according to needs.

Any extension of this contract is dependent on performance review and funding availability.
