Scoping mission- Business Support for Employment

2. 1. Map key stakeholders, including identified local implementing partners, donors, and major TVET providers, and any other stakeholder deemed relevant to this project. The consultant is responsible for organizing her/his research, arranging meetings with identified stakeholders and ensuring:
      1. Map NGOs and development partners engaging in MSME and TVET support.
      2. Map donors, local and international engaged in MSME and TVET support.
      3. Make stakeholder analysis to clarify their potential role in MSME support and TVET.
      4. Provide a short description of the dynamic of the markets of MSMEs and the relation with the regional geopolitics
      5. Identify most prominent and promising partners for Swisscontact to engage with 
3. Required Skills & Experience

The consultant should have:

• An advanced university (at least master’s) degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, economics, international trade, local economic development, or similar field;
• At least 10 years of proven relevant work experience in economic development, preferably in the field of local economic development, private sector development, business development services, income generation, and employment at the national level (international experience highly desirable);
• Proven expertise in designing and managing economic development programmes in post-conflict, fragile settings;
• Substantial experience in development research, feasibility studies, writing and editing reports;
• Strong knowledge of the Jordanian socio-economic and political context;
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French, good command of Arabic is highly desirable.
