Face-Mask Production trainer

AND is seeking the expertise of a professional tailor to train beneficiaries on face mask production over 12 hours workshop spread according to the trainers and participants convenience to be completed over a maximum of two weeks period. Training should cover the following:

• Introduce participants to the basics of tailoring (types of fabrics, materials/equipment needed according to the product we are working on, process …)
• Introduce participants to the concept of face masks, its specifications and of preparations.
• Teach participants on the process of sewing face masks (Cut the fabric. For an adult size mask, cut 1 fabric rectangle 16″ long and 8.5″ wide, Sew the top side, with a pocket opening. Fold the fabric in half, with the right sides facing, Pin Elastic or Fabric Ties, Sew the Sides, Sew the Pleats….)
• Supervise participants throughout the sewing process to ensure good quality services.
• Ironing process and best practices
• Related guidance notes from World health organization (WHO)

The trainer shall demonstrate the following:

• Prior knowledge in face-masks production and tailoring process overall.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable and diplomatic in working with a diverse range of people.
• Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience.
• Ability to demonstrate, and communicate techniques clearly.
• Adherence to the recommendations of world health organization.
• Abiding to AND’s internal regulations

The Trainer shall be responsible for the following deliverables.

• Preparation of Workshop Agenda, schedule, content material.
• Creating an interactive session, variety of training methods/means used throughout the workshop (Power point presentations, videos, forms, exercises)
• Providing an Appraisal of participants and overall training flow, best practices and rooms for improvement in addition to follow up recommendations.

Reporting

The Trainer shall report to the project manager.
