Outreach Officer - Short Training

Context

 

IECD (The European Institute for Cooperation and Development) is an international solidarity organization established in 1988 that implements socio-economic development projects in partnership with local institutions. IECD works particularly in the areas of training and vocational integration, support for very small businesses and access to education and health for the most vulnerable.  IECD has been present in Lebanon since 1988 and has been working on projects there since 2007.

Semeurs d'Avenir (SDA) a Lebanese association created in 2010, and IECD's operational partner in Lebanon is looking for an outreach officer.

Mission

 

Under the responsibility of the project manager, and within the short training program the officer will be responsible for the following:

 

1/ Mapping, networking, and recruitment of beneficiaries

  • Identify and create a network of partners (associations, local authorities, community influencers, etc...)
  • Visit municipalities, NGOs, and key people in the region to get their support in our outreach process.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection process of beneficiaries
  • (Filling application, interviews …….)
  • Develop the recruitment work plan
    • Mapping in order to identify the vulnerable population areas and those interested in vocational training activities
    • Assessing the areas of intervention and proposing development ideas.

 

  • Recruitment of beneficiaries for all planned training (250 beneficiaries interested in training) from different regions of Lebanon.
  • Call and follow-up of beneficiaries to plan the interviews, the registration, and the start of the trainings.
  • Take charge of the recruitment mobile phone in order to answer calls and questions from candidates and record their details.

 

2/ Coordination

  • Coordinating with the project coordinator for recruitment priorities.
  • Organize fieldwork with the beneficiaries.
  • Staying in touch with the beneficiaries.
  • Fill in the recruitment tabs with the candidates’ details and share them regularly with the project coordinator.

 

3/ Reporting

-       Weekly report on the progress of recruitment work to the project manager and coordinator

-       Fill the attendance sheet of the beneficiaries at the end of each month to be signed by the project coordinator

-       Keep record of the working days of the beneficiaries and communicate them to the project coordinator

 

Profile

Education: Higher education

Experience:  1 to 2 years, whether in private, public or in an international solidarity organization

  • Previous experience in the social work sector is a plus
  • Experience in multicultural context

 

Skills:

  • Excellent Arabic (oral / written) imperative
  • Good writing skills in French and/or English
  • Representation skills with a variety of partners
  • Excellent skills using Excel and Word
  • Organizational skills and multitasking skills

Quality:

  • Good relationship with the vulnerable and disadvantaged populations
  • Good interpersonal communication, good representation towards public and private partners
