COVID-19 Case Management Coordinator

  1. Role Summary:

The COVID-19 Case Management Coordinator will follow up on the implementation of the COVID-19 policies and procedures, monitor staff compliance with minimum standards and raise reports and breaches, follow up on alleged and confirmed cases of COVID-19 and trace contacts, maintain contact with staff who are confirmed positive, follow up on sick cases and staff on travel, to ensure compliance with safety measures and recommend actions in direct coordination with the Human Resources Manager; Health, Safety, and Security Adviser and the Head of Support.

1. Generic Responsibilities:

  1. Implement NRC systems and procedures across all NRC Lebanon offices.
  2. Ensure adherence to NRC policies, procedures, and applicable national laws.
  3. Train and develop NRC staff on COVID-19 policies and related matters.
  4. Coordinate with relevant parties including NRC staff, Line Managers, external service providers, etc.
  5. Prepare and submit periodic and ad-hoc reports as requested by NRC management
  6. Support NRC staff and line managers on all related matters
  7. Ensure that activities and related paperwork are properly documented and filed for easy retrieval.
  8. Ensures that NRC’s related activities are implemented within NRC’s Protection mainstreaming guidelines and reports any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action.

2. Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and roll out NRC Lebanon COVID-19 policies and procedures
  2. Follow up on the implementation of the COVID-19 related policies and procedures set in place and report breaches and non-compliance.
  3. Ensure that all set policies and procedures are always updated and accessible for all staff in both English and Arabic.
  4. Maintain an updated log of all cases of reported sickness, COVID-19 suspected and confirmed cases, travels, and other related matters.
  5. Follow up on all reported sick cases and maintain follow up and direct contact with staff who show sick symptoms and recommend actions as needed.
  6. Follow up on suspected contacts with COVID-19 and confirmed cases by conducting accurate contact tracing and reporting in due time while recommending actions.
  7. Raise awareness among staff on the policies and procedures in place, COVID-19 related information and updates, and safety and hygiene matters. Provide training sessions as needed.
  8. Ensure data is always up-to-date and keep track of international standards and technologies that can aid in tracking and mitigating COVID-19 related risks.
  9. Provide data trends, analysis, and reports as requested.
  10. Train staff on safety measures, tracing, and other matters related to COVID-19, cases management, and policies and procedures implementation and compliance.


3. Critical Interfaces:

By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:

  • NRC staff and line managers for guidance and follow up
  • Administration and logistics for transport tracing and disinfection
  • Area and Country Office HR for follow up, support, insurance, and other personnel management issues
  • HR Manager, HSS adviser and Head of Support for reporting and decision making
  • HR Coordinator – ER for staff care and psychosocial support

  • 3 to 5  years of experience in staff care, psychosocial support, or related field
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic, spoken and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, mainly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good presentation and training facilitation skills
