Primary Health Care Program Pharmacist - Tripoli

Background:

S/he is a member of the field area team which includes the health field manager, field medical advisor, the area pharmacist, the senior health officer, the health officers, the quality officers, and the program assistants per area.
Health program provides both technical and financial support to local primary health care centers to enable provision of affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare services to refugee and vulnerable host population.

Job Purpose:

Manage medication and medical supplies requests, consumption and donations for all IMC supported PHC Centers. Monthly reports to M&E of each PHCC inventory and consumption.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage medication and medical supplies requests, consumption and donations for all IMC supported PHC Centers.
• Conduct regular visits to the supported clinics to ensure delivered pharmaceuticals and medical supplies donated are available, properly dispensed, and managed.
• Supervise and train pharmacy assistants in the supported clinic and MMUs. All topics related to medications, pharmacy management stock control, generating stock lists, and the proper handling of medicines.
• Capacity building of the PHC centers supported by IMC mainly to the pharmacist assistants. The pharmacist will help building the capacity of the clinic staff including proper submission of medication requests to MOPH on a quarterly basis and addendum requests (in case initial delivery is insufficient) to avoid stock outs and decrease reliance on IMC donated medication
• Follow up and management of the medical stock with specific tools (MOPH Health in-formation system (HIS) software). This includes following up on MOPH medication stockouts and ensuring that the proper steps are being taken by the clinic staff to communicate medication needs to the MOPH PHC Area Coordinator.

Desirable qualifications: A degree in public health

Essential experience: A minimum of two years of satisfactory working experience as Pharmacist, preferably with an NGO

Desirable experience: Experience in NGO field
