COVID-19 Awareness Facilitator

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose : 

The Facilitator will provide health awareness sessions with a focus on COVID-19 key messages and will work on linking the community to related essential services for a duration of ten months at Nabaa Community Center and is expected to provide two-hour sessions three twice per week.

General Responsibilities:

• Design the content and deliver information campaigns targeting women, children, and adolescents which aim at raising awareness and disseminating COVID19 key messages and preventative information for personal health and safety
• Coordinate the distribution of materials during the awareness sessions
• Coordinate the actions aimed at containing the spread of the virus within the Community Center during the in-presence activities
• Liaise with the Health Working Group within the aid coordination system established by the United Nations Agencies with respect to available materials and short videos
• Create and disseminate a service map for laboratories and hospitals which conduct PCR tests and vaccination for Covid19 within Nabaa/Burj Hammoud area  
• Establish and maintain a monthly and weekly work plan in coordination with the Project Manager
• Fill in attendance sheets and inform the Project Manager about the progress of the sessions and challenges faced on a weekly basis
• Provide a monthly update to the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• Health Background
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Understanding and sensitivity on issues affecting vulnerable communities particularly refugees
• Understanding of Nabaa/Burj Hammoud context is a plus
