ECE Remote Teacher

Ana Aqra is looking for a highly motivated ECE Remote Teacher to join its team on a full-time basis, commencing March 1, 2021.

The typical responsibilities of a remote teacher include remote teaching, student management, administrative tasks and extracurricular activities.
He/ she plans, organizes and implements an appropriate instructional program in a distance learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing and delivering remote lessons to all students (3-6 years old) in the virtual classrooms; in order to facilitate active distance learning experiences.
• Developing schemes of work and remote lesson plans for early childhood education on a daily basis.
• Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities for 3 core subjects: Language (Arabic Language and foreign Language), Math and Sciences.
• Remote teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students.
• Preparing activities that rely as much as possible on home-based materials.
• Provide a variety of lessons modality: through PowerPoint or through videos filmed with smartphones according to the remote mini lesson structure and self-assessment checklist.
• Identifying and selecting different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
• Observing and evaluating parents’ feedback and student's performance and development.
• Providing appropriate feedback on work for the learners and their parents.
• Encouraging, monitoring and promoting the general progress and wellbeing of individual students by holding synchronous remote teaching sessions
• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment and behavior of one’s students.
• Communicating with parents to assess students via phone calls and distance learning assessments.
• Tracking learners’ activities and interaction rates per subject by filling teachers’ log on a weekly basis and by creating and updating an e-portfolio for each learner.
• Filing learners’ assignments, in the e-portfolios, by subject and date of submission
• Registering and monitoring the attendance of students under one’s care.
• Participating in teachers and parent meetings.
• Communicating necessary information regularly to the distance learning officer regarding student progress and student needs and challenges.

Educational Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Arabic Literature and/ or Teaching Diploma
• Previous experience in preschool teaching
• Ability to work remotely and comply with program guidelines
• Great computer skills and ability to use with ease different programs: office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel), Presentation software (PowerPoint), communication and collaboration tool (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
• Good communication skills in Arabic/English or Arabic/French (bilingual or trilingual)
• Willingness to work with children who have experienced psychological trauma
